How did you both meet?

Simple answer is through an App. Yeah, Yeah - we know the stigma, but it honestly wasn’t like that. Kev had started getting dating fatigue but knew there must be a beautiful lady out there for him, whilst Nae only had begun her journey and was new to the experience and loving it! After 3 days of talking, heated discussions about the MCU & DC worlds and competitive goading, Kev asked Nae on a date. Home turf in West at Puttshack. Now, they can never agree on this but history tells that Nae won and Kev was a sore loser which in fact was ruining their date. Kev thought it was going incredibly well, whilst Nae was finding reasons to go to the bathroom as many times as she did to bail on him.

This is where clarity is needed - What made her stay? And why was he being weird? Well, he was nervous and wanted to impress her and she hadn’t eaten yet and was promised a meal - why else?! They decided to finish their date in Busaba where she took his jacket off and hung it for him in its cloakroom whilst he got the biggest, well-lit table for them to dine in the centre of the restaurant. It really felt like it was only them, that all concept of time and space had disappeared. Soft knee bumps under the table and light brushes of hands whilst sharing plates - it was going well, Nae wanted to know more on who this Kev was and was presenting himself to be - so, she asked;

Naomi: Okay, so, tell me something you don’t want to tell me.

Kev ponders for a while, wipes his mouth with his napkin, and looks at her - in that moment he feels completely safe and sees the sincerity in her eyes, unbeknown to her, he knows she is his person and can see her being his wife. So, he tells her the truth.

Kevin: So, there was this one day…

And tells her something he should not have told her. She erupts in a belly laughter, suddenly they are aware that there are others around looking at her whilst rice is coming out of her nose and Kev is in tears of laughter - Nae holds his hands as her choking subsides and knows there is definitely a second date after that story, which gives Kev all the confidence he needs to secure his future with Nae in it.
